THE FACE THAT MIRRORS THE SOUL

The eyes may be the window of the soul, but a face's expression tells the whole story of the soul. In these series of work I have focused primarely on the facial expression as a mean to capture the various moods of our inner self. A face to me is a mirror image of the soul; and this mirror image can be caught in a myriad of expressions by the critical eye of the artist. The subtleties that we usually communicate by slanting our looks, or by tightening or relaxing our facial muscles, usually go unnoticed to the ordinary person. To me, instead, they tell not only what the person is feeling, but also what he/she is thinking.
